The fun continues at FunDancers throughout August:
- 6:15 pm - Quick Review
- 7 pm - Club Dance
- 9:15 pm - informal gathering at Chuy's in Selma

The quick review will cover several calls. You can even request a review of a call you choose. Just let the caller know.

Here is this week's hint on what to do if you're lost in a square:

Hint #4: Use Recovery Strategies. There are some easy tricks that might help you recover your position even if you have no idea what just transpired. The first one of these is "Look for the hole". If you're the only one who is at sea, there is usually a hole somewhere in the formation, conspicuous by your absence.

Lots of upcoming fun at FunDancers!

Advanced Dancing begins this Wednesday, August 10 at a "secret location". It's secret because we have not yet decided where it will be. To find out the exact time and location, email or phone Nasser. If you're looking for dancing beyond Plus, or if you're just curious to try something different, give Advanced a try.

August 14 is our first-ever Root Beer Floats special! Cool off in style with free Root Beer Floats!

August 28 is "Amateur Caller Night". It's your chance to call for the group or lead a line dance (or both). Get with Nasser before the event (the sooner the better) to choose your song. All your friends will be cheering for ya'. It will be fun and memorable.

Plus Class starts next month (September 11) at 5:15 pm and runs for 12 weeks.

A brand-new beginner group starts in January 2012. Please talk it up among your friends. Square and line dancing make a great New Year's Resolution for people who want to get out more, exercise more, meet more friends, etc. The resolution is so easy to keep because it's so much fun.
